Favorite Platform to develop for?
Borland Turbo C++ in particular pairs well with the aforementioned book. I am partial to Turbo Pascal having just last month written a game with it, but I also enjoy using the more advanced Watcom C++. QBasic/QuickBASIC is also interesting and I will always have a soft-spot for it. In the late 90's and early 2000's QBasic had a thriving online community and there was a lot of good stuff produced for it relating to game development.
