Segmentation on synthetic images does not generalize on experimental data.
Roboflow makes it easier to create masks for images that you want to segment. If you are trying to segment object that you can hold in your hands, you can give https://github.com/andrewjouffray/salient-extract a try to collect data and then you can use https://github.com/andrewjouffray/Composite-Image-Generator to generate real-looking data.

[P] Generating and annotating a large semi-synthetics image dataset in seconds with videos processed by salient extract.
So far I have built the training dataset for https://github.com/andrewjouffray/salient-extract and a fruit detection model using this tool. The fruit detection model detected 3 classes with decent accuracy but I need to do a bit more testing.
