What I really want is a modern microcontroller emulator. avr8js is really spectacular. Execute Code provides a great way to run C, C++, and Rust snippets, but running a program on an OS versus on an MCU is very different and code is generally not very portable between them.

Mechanical 7 Segment Display with Virtual Mini Servos
We simulate the actual Arduino hardware (based on this avr8js repo) which runs the compiled Arduino code. To compile the code itself, we use Arduino CLI.

Wokwi Arduino simulator - Bug fix Video - Interesting for AVR fans as well as Arduino enthusiasts
Here Uri is tackling a subtle but impactful bug in the AVR simulator. He starts by analyzing a tiny Arduino program that shows the problem: an LED turns off when it shouldn't. Then we dive into the assembly code, and take a look at the implementation of the offending instructions in the simulator's source code. Once we pinned down the bug (pun intended), we create a regression test case and change the simulator's code until the tests are all green again. Enjoy the ride! ▸ GitHub issue with the all details: https://github.com/wokwi/avr8js/issue... ▸ Wokwi online Arduino simulator: https://wokwi.com

Fastled Running In The Browser
I don't know whether you saw it, but /u/wokwi has actually done a similar thing with https://github.com/wokwi/avr8js in a totally different way - no WASM, an AVR implementation in JavaScript. Total madness but it works!

executing code blocks in Obsidian
I'm new to Obsidian and having some issues with using this plugin to execute code. I've already changed the path to where cpp is installed, but I'm still getting this error (clang: error: no input files). Suggestions?

Can't get execute-code plugin to work?
I was wondering if anyone is currently using the execute-code plugin successfully, and if so, how it was set up. I just downloaded ObsidianMD and the plugin today, but can't seem to get it to work. I'm not sure what kinds of debug abilities I have in order to see what's wrong. Essentially, what I've done is:

Is there a plugin or feature that lists all un-started notes as well as notes below a certain word count?
You can show all notes that have less than 1KB. Use the execute code plugin to code a little script in your preferred language. https://github.com/twibiral/obsidian-execute-code
