I'd suggest MicropatcherAutomater if you want a more Patched Sur-like installation. You can even through the Patched Sur post-install app and call it the same for all I care haha.

How do I update macOS in System Preferences ?
For now I am using MicropatcherAutomator v2.0 because I need support for clean install to install on different volume.

Yes, but this one (with the newest update) has a redesigned UI that is more user friendly, a post-install in recovery, works on clean installs, and hasn't had some of the weird bugs that PatchedSur has. I encourage you to try it and join the Unsupported Macs Discord server to learn more about each of them. Go HERE download the patcher and follow the instructions to the letter. Be aware that you have to be on Catalina to use it.

Does iOS 15 Reminders and Notes work on macOS Catalina?
Maybe it’s worth backup your iMac and check Big Sur patcher, I ran into same problem with reminders, then I installed Big Sur on my 2012 MBP, I didn’t notice any slowdown compared with Catalina and I got remainders working again.
