Second one is the executable file generated with "auto-py-to-exe", a program that converts my python script to an executable so everyone that doesn't have python installed can use it (probably). (https://github.com/brentvollebregt/auto-py-to-exe)

.py to .msi
You might want to see Pyinstaller and auto_py_to_exe if you want a GUI interface.

Auto-py-to-exe just deleted all my files
Someone else reported something like this - https://github.com/brentvollebregt/auto-py-to-exe/issues/310 - but was unable to come up with a coherent bug report so they closed it.

Terminal Launches when I run my .exe file
No problem! If you use Pyinstaller a lot, I recommend checking this out

How many hours have I played? (Python script included)
And since I figure most people would appreciate a simple EXE file, I used a tool to convert the same code to a single executable (disclaimer: I've only tested it for myself so I can hardly say that this works everywhere): executable release (from the same repo) - grab sc_main.exe only

Unable to Convert to Exe
Why? That's an issue you should solve before going forward. You could install pyinstaller or auto-py-to-exe manually, but that will likely lead to further issues.

Why not tell people to “simply” use pyenv, poetry or anaconda
You are right. I think I've misremembered the module name - it was uwsgi, not uvicorn.
This is a github issue where I discussed my original issue with PyInstaller devs - the dev explained the situation very well: https://github.com/pyinstaller/pyinstaller/issues/6362

Shipping large ML models with electron
PyInstaller seemed like the most maintained and developed tool to freeze python script into an executable, so I went with it. As expected, the freezed interface with the model was gigabytes large, so I had to figure out how to squeeze this. Fortunately, Onnx worked wonders and packaged the model into an inference only state, so I could throw away the Pytorch and Torchtext dependencies when freezing with Pyinstaller. Now the size of the executable with the model was 43MB instead of 4GB.

I made a Django react app. Now I want to make it a desktop application so that the user does not have type python manage.py runserver and also activate the environment every time. I used pyinstaller. I did all the steps mentioned for django
