  • how well does the zenbook flip 14 un5401 work with linux?
    1 project | /r/ASUS | 15 Aug 2022
I've bought it recently and everything works except switching to tablet mode and I would say it is pretty important feature for 2v1 laptop. It looks like the Libux kernel doesn't recognize when you flip the laptop. It doesn't lock the keyboard... I tried multiple distros. Pop os, Arch and Ubuntu. All of them are basically the same regarding HW support. Here is link for numpad support: https://github.com/asus-linux-drivers/asus-touchpad-numpad-driver

  • How do I save and restore the X session with display manager (xdm)?
    1 project | /r/linuxquestions | 12 Mar 2021
When I search for 'restore x session xdm' or the like I do not find any related results. I found a great project for python on github xsession-manager but unfortunately it relies on wmctrl which does not work with ratpoison so sticking with the display manager/xdm route but gotta find what exactly I have to set to make it work.
