Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Floss/fund: $1M per year for free and open source projects
Great idea! I'm trying it now by adding the funding.json file to two of my most-fundable FOSS projects. Feedback welcome. Donations welcome too if you like. :-)

Ask HN: Looking for a project to volunteer on? (February 2024)
SEEKING VOLUNTEERS: Assertables (Rust crate)
https://github.com/sixarm/assertables-rust-crate
Assertables is a Rust crate that provides assert macros for strings, sets, streams, and more. This helps Rust coders write better clearer tests, and get better clearer error messages.
The aim is to encourage more developers to try Assertables. If you're a coder, want to write more macros? If you're a writer, want to improve the docs? If you're a testing advocate, want to reach out to developers to ask them to try Assertables?
The project is 100% free open source pro bono.

KiCad EDA - https://kicad.org
KiCad is a popular open-source EDA tool used by engineers and designers across the globe. We're always open to contributions from experienced C++ developers, especially those who are also familiar with the world of electrical engineering / PCB design. Check out our developer landing page[1] to find the developers email list and contribution guides. We accept merge requests on GitLab[2] and try to keep a number of lower-scope issues tagged starter [3] for new developers to take on.
We're currently in our annual feature freeze as we focus on stabilizing features added in the past year and squashing bugs ahead of our planned 9.0 release at the end of January. Any help testing the nightly builds and surfacing bugs to fix is appreciated as well as actual bug-fixing!

Can someone review my schematic and PCB?
For point 1, are you sure you're using the latest KiCad version? I know there was a bug in de software before, which caused this exact problem. But that's already from a long time ago: https://gitlab.com/kicad/code/kicad/-/issues/6447

KiCad Project Makefile
The first thing of thought of with kicad-cli is a Makefile include. It's developed into kicad-makefile. It does everything I want, except DRC/ERC but hopefully that will come. Perhaps others on here will find it useful and can contribute. See the README for info on how to use it and integrate with GitHub actions.

Python errors with 7
Not sure if the devs watch these forums, but if you want this issue solved I recommend raising the issue on Gitlab https://gitlab.com/kicad/code/kicad/-/issues (where the devs will definately see your bug report)
