arxiv-sanity-preserver VS neurips2021_stats

Looking through github.com/karpathy/arxiv-sanity-preserver was a red-pill moment for me. Really stripped-bare setup: Flask, single .js file with ReactJS loaded in , basic deployment to Linode.

Hi, I am a fan of www.arxiv-sanity.com and like to have similar summaries for conference papers. I have ordered all ICLR2022 papers by rating and created 8-page thumbnails. With ICLR2022 now in full swing, the project can be useful in getting a quick overview of the accepted publications.

A better option is https://paperswithcode.com/ and http://www.arxiv-sanity.com/ when it's not down.

I was trying to find a tool to track papers and create my own library. I found http://www.arxiv-sanity.com/ , which seemed perfect but it turns out it's down, there is also https://arxiv-sanity-lite.com/ which unfortunately is not the same as arxiv-sanity. Before I had found tools such as artigo which allow people to annotate papers and share with others, or Connected papers which produces a graph of related papers, but unfortunately does not have the option to create one's library/annotate.

I really like arxiv-sanity. I browse the trending lists and also like to surf the “similar papers” links

I wish there was something similar for the general literature, it only indexes like the ML and vision related communities

I personally use www.arxiv-sanity.com and check the top posted/saved/tweeted papers of the week (or day). It's open source so you could make a custom version for yourself, or just skim it for relevant stuff every so often. It's not a perfect solution but it's a useful tool.

Thanks! I checked the code of arxiv-sanity for thumbnailing a paper and this repository for crawling the metadata from OpenReview. The page can be easily adapted for ICLR but not to previous NeurIPS editions as this was the first time Neurips used the OpenReview system.
