My custom HUD setup for plasma. Works with both GTK, Qt and electron app (everything with dbusmenu). Works on X11 and Wayland. Link- https://github.com/Zren/plasma-hud, Theme- https://github.com.cnpmjs.org/undiabler/nord-rofi-theme
The guy who created latte dock maintains a trio of widgets (https://github.com/psifidotos/applet-window-appmenu, https://github.com/psifidotos/applet-window-buttons, https://github.com/psifidotos/applet-window-title) which are just PERFECT for that purpose. They don't require you to run latte, but it helps if you have more than one screen.

Can I combine Windows Title and Window Appmenu applets on Latte panel so that window title fills up available space but does not truncate the appmenu?
Yeah, I know, the other issue is here: https://github.com/psifidotos/applet-window-title/issues/33 , I hope that gets addressed evetually:-).

Going to give KDE Plasma a real try, any "essential tweaks" or distro suggestions?
If you want multiple panels in a Unity like layout, I found it easier to do that with latte dock than with the builtin panels. I also like using this Plasma applet to display window title in a plasma/latte panel.

Any widgets that can mimic the Windows 10 control center(slides out from the right of the screen)? It's really handy when I'm on my laptop. Windows, by default maps it to a 4 finger tap on the touchpad. Can we replicate this on KDE?
Touchegg is really good for multi-finger gestures. The default configuration file is for Gnome so you will need to download this .conf file to use it in KDE. You can edit the config file in GUI with Touché.

Touchegg Client not Auto-Start Issue
I love using touchegg and ToucheggKDE for improve gesture experience on KDE Plasma. But the issue I encountered when using Void Linux is the touchegg not work until I run touchegg in terminal, even the daemon already executed with user ' _touchegg ' with command ' touchegg --daemon '

HP 745 G5 - few problems
Hello everyone, I bought around a month back HP 745 G5 with locked bios (the seller is legit, and has many of these laptops from some company) which was fun unlocking, when I was finally able to go into bios I dumped Windows and installed Arch for my first time. But I have a few problems: When I open my laptop I have this weird pattern (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ4CwPahylo) The audio and microphone mute indication light doesn't work Bluetooth doesn't work Gestures like with two fingers left/right for browser navigation and zoom don't work (I tried this: https://github.com/NayamAmarshe/ToucheggKDE but it doesn't work as I would like) The login screen's cursor looks weird and small (https://i.imgur.com/0Ngw8mN.jpg) on the lock screen looks normal.

Using gestures is great on X11
I'm using kubuntu 22.04 and running on X11. Finally I have got my laptop gestures working great with touchegg and toucheggkde and love the back a page forward a page swipes in Firefox. Also the scaling I have is set at 150% and everything is clear and smooth on my 1980x1080 (16.9) laptop screen. I also use the Gamma settings in X11 which doesn't show in Wayland. Such a pity that these settings are not available in Wayland without having blurry fonts etc. I think if more distros started adding these gesture features the average user that's switching from macs or windoze would be happier. A lot of people I have tried to convert complain about this and have gone back. I know that Elementary has good gestures but I don't think they work if your using Firefox?

Going to give KDE Plasma a real try, any "essential tweaks" or distro suggestions?
Plasma doesn't come with gesture support out of the box yet, at least on X11 (not sure about Wayland). Touchegg is a really useful software that can enable gesture support really well. After you install it, you can use the touchegg config file from this repo as a good starting point.

Full multi touch support app on Dell laptop
I would suggest you to use touchegg. Just install Touchegg, and then install KDE Touchegg. Additionally, you can also install Touche (GUI for touchegg configuration) . Just keep in mind, gestures won't be 1-to-1 with your finger movements. But, they work perfectly fine other than that.
