Building APOD color search part I: Image analysis in Rust
Processing a single APOD is one thing, but the end goal is to process all of them. The cleanest way to group batches of days was by month. As the apod-api supports start_date and end_date parameters to support this, I just used the first and last days of the month for these parameters.

I built an app using Svelte to search the APOD database by color
Thanks, yep I built a Rust util to process them & store color information in a db. apod-api was useful to avoid scraping though! https://github.com/nasa/apod-api

Help with dataviewjs query. Obsidian doesn't treat media as pages of their own.
Not entirely sure if it, but I guess dataview's engine is filtering .md only. Maybe you can try to use the node.js "fs" module with https://github.com/SamLewis0602/obsidian-custom-js

holy hell dataview
Check out the CustomJS plugin as allows you to define your own functions elsewhere and use/re-use them from dataview JS by just deconstructing the API with a one-liner so your notes don't have to have to have huge code blocks and you don't need to copy/paste repeated functionality.

How you can connect to NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day API
You can sign up to the API, And with the resulting url make a JS call and display the image, Either by dataviewJS (my preferred method) or by https://github.com/samlewis0602/obsidian-custom-js (never tried it, but it looks like it works)
