When using Lefreut's enhanced UI, I get these big portrait photos on the dialogue box. Is this intended? It goes back to small portrait if I uninstall it.

How to experience Baldurs Gate for the first time
Dragonspear UI++ https://github.com/anongit/DragonspearUI/releases/tag/21.09.0 (download the source code zip) There is another popular UI mod, but my *very strong preference* is Dragonspear UI++. If you're like me, and you don't care about nostalgia or purism at all, then this might be the mod for you. It overhauls BG's UI, modernizing it, and just looks *absolutely gorgeous*.

Which version? The one for 2.6 is available from here https://github.com/anongit/DragonspearUI/archive/refs/heads/master.zip I believe and that should work like any other mod.

Not that I usually recommend changing mod configs midgame, but what happens if you install a banter accelerator (ie, this one)?

Banter: Banter pack and Extended Banter. The latter contains an optional timer that makes banters (dialogues between NPCs) occur more often (choose whichever timer you prefer).

What’s your favorite mod?
With Spellhold Studios down right now, I can't link the handy all-in-one forum page, but this is all of them, I think. The expanded banter pack is great as well. I like these a lot, they feel very true to the characters. Yoshimo's was probably my favorite because I like when games emotionally devastate me, but I've liked all the ones I've played (haven't finished Cernd's because, well, Cernd).

BG_Quests_And_Encounters - Quest Mod for BG1(TotSC), Baldur's Gate Trilogy, Tutu, BG:EE, and EET
Neera_Expansion - This mod adds a series of dialogues to the lovely elven wild mage Neera, in an effort to help flesh her out and give the game a little more content for those who've played through it a half-million times. For the romantically inclined, it also adds a number of flirts that you can initiate if you force-talk her.
Banter_Pack - Adds Banters to the BioWare NPCs of Baldur's Gate II!
A7-DlcMerger - This mod allows you to merge DLC archives into Enhanced Edition games.
EET - Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Trilogy (EET) is a modification for Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition that merges whole saga into one game and provides continuity between the events of Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Shadows of Amn, Throne of Bhaal and Siege of Dragonspear expansion (also for both Black Pits adventures). The name of this this modification probably rings a bell to those who have been following IE modding scene, thanks to the classic mod that inspired this project, called Baldur's Gate Trilogy (BGT), developed by Bardez and Ascension64. While EET remains mostly faithful to the premise of the BGT, it shouldn't be considered a direct continuation of that project. In fact both mods share little to no common code and took different design decisions in many aspects.
KorganFriendship - This mod adds a series of dialogues with Korgan.
DragonspearUI - Dragonspear UI++, a UI mod for BG:EE
Isra_NPC_BG2 - This mod adds Isra Ghadir, a cavalier paladin of Sune Firehair, to Baldur's Gate II. She is playable through to the end of Throne of Bhaal. You can find her in the Den of the Seven Vales in Waukeen's Promenade, where she is looking into some family concerns.
SkitiaNPCs - Skitias NPCs for Baludr's Gate 2
BG1NPC - The BG1 NPC Project adds a great deal of content by expanding the depth of character and levels of interaction with the NPCs from the Baldur's Gate game. Requires Tutu, BGT, or BGEE.
