Raylib is also well liked and, IMO, well put together if you want to look at a very approachable framework kind of project.

Given that you ask this question I assume you're very new to gamedev. So if these suggestions are too overwhelming checkout raylib instead. It's meant for C but very easy to get started with.

I would like to install RayLib graphics library however the build guide the author provided doesn't work for me. Here you can see that I entered the commands that the author provided however the library still does not work for as can be seen here because Raylib functions do not work.
