ALU Coinopsx 5 Alive - ok to bypass some folders?
Just add a system folder, like MD, find a playlist_art file *.png, make a playlist file & put it in playlists folder, same name as system folder. Scrape the arts with the beta 4 tool (https://github.com/jimnarey/alu_auto_builder/releases/tag/Beta-4) (windows/Linux) & put them in their respective folders cover/logo/marquee/video/custom=cabinet *.png - if you find 1, then run the AddonX tool before you try your Flash drive. They should work then.

Adding backdrops to some games - how to?
Take those recipes that /u/walknight provided and use them as a base. Rebuild your UCEs in Windows using this tool (recipe to UCE): https://github.com/jimnarey/alu_auto_builder/releases/tag/Beta-4

I started working on compete set of saUCEs
Well, I haven't updated yet. (5.65) I can't help you there.. If you want to re-build the saUCEs, just use the Beta Tool version 4 here: https://github.com/jimnarey/alu_auto_builder/releases

Why aren't more people talking about the audio lag?
If you (or anyone, really) would like to experiment, you can use this tool to extract the “save” folder where the ini file resides and then pack it back in. All without rebuilding the UCE. If there is no ini file, add one.

How to manage games that won't load?
For best results, I recommend this MAME2003+ core: https://github.com/wn2000/alu_cores/releases/tag/mame2003_plus_aarch64_20211108

Where to find .so emulator core ?
The most robust core is MAME2003+. It's the one used for most of the games which come with the ALU and several users have built improved versions. I'd use this one from u/walknight : https://github.com/wn2000/alu_cores/releases/tag/mame2003_plus_aarch64_20211108

Baraduke won't start up
For posterity, I checked the original UCE from the COX v5 pack. It ran. So then I rebuilt it with the latest core from here using both the original AddOn Tool and the much better tool created by /u/meepowl. Both of those ran as well.

Save state in saUCE V5.
Pull the UCE that won't save from your drive, extract the contents to a folder, and rebuild the UCE from the contents. If the game is using a MAME2003+ core, replace the original .so file with this one: https://github.com/wn2000/alu_cores/releases/tag/mame2003_plus_aarch64_20210521.4

Trying To Find Some Cheat Sauce To Go With My Burgers
Could you post instructions on softreset? I tried burgertime , using cheat.dat from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/libretro/mame2003-libretro/master/metadata/cheat.dat and latest mame core from https://github.com/wn2000/alu_cores/

Art of fighting 1 Trouble.
It's due to yet another incompatibility of the built-in retroplayer with the libretro cores. Try the latest mame2003-plus core here, where I've put in a workaround. FBAlpha/FBNeo may also work.

AGP button layout fix?
Here is a link to the core. https://github.com/wn2000/alu_cores/releases/tag/mame2003_plus_aarch64_20210521.4

Updated mame2003_plus and FBNeo cores (ALU 1.0 only atm)
So, if you have One saUCE running which uses RetroArch, or just want to test your luck to see if latest retroplayer fixes the issue (I doubt it), you can grab the cores from here. I plan to put future builds, if any, on the same site.
