SAMBA AD hosting issue on Leap 15.2
Hey all. I successfully got Samba to run as an Active Directory controller using Ubuntu 20.04. However, I decided to switch over to OpenSUSE Leap 15.2 to take advantage of some tooling one of the devs was working on. I already had to do some bind mounts to /etc/fstab, but it's still trying to access the wrong LDB file: /var/lib/samba/private/dns/sam.ldb is what it wants, but /var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb is what exists.

What companies allow (or require) employees to use Linux on their laptops?
Yeah, lots of good points! I really understand your struggle there. I spent about half a year developing a software to bring server side scripts (boot, logon, shutdown), support for the Drive GPP and the printer GPP to Linux. Mots of it is kinda basic right now. Its mostly designed for the school server management System linuxmuster.net wich is mostly used in germany: https://github.com/linuxmuster/linuxmuster-linuxclient7
