Mnemos moment: Search for a Shell
I contributed to dune shell a few years ago, until the author decided to stop working on it. Unfortunately it never went beyond the "hobby phase". A more mature shell written in Rust is nushell, but it's pretty large, so it might be difficult to port to another OS. There's also ion (part of Redox OS), which is much smaller, and hopefully easier to port.

Dune: a shell by the beach!
It's been a few months since I've had the time to put serious work into something, but I finally found some extra days to finish this! It's inspired by my previous attempt at a shell, Atom, but this time with a BUNCH of QOL improvements! Hopefully you'll enjoy using it!!

Why Create a New Unix Shell? (2021)
Not to mention several projects that provide an interactive shell-like experience as a thin layer over a powerful programming language, like Babashka (Clojure) or Rash (Racket). Plus the existing shells that provide similar features, like Fish, Xonsh, Nushell, atomsh, etc.

dune-event-loop
Atom - :atom: The hackable text editor
fish-functions - :wrench: My utility belt of fish functions, writing these has saved me many hours in the long run... I hope...
