We need something like gnome workbench
We do have qt designer but it is not fun to use. Also workbench have adw widgets in it. Maybe an app with gui options to make kf and kirigami ui? Even better integrate with kdevelop?

What does work is to use Blueprint - potentially via Workbench to prototype the initial layout of some UI, and then use the XML format once it's "production ready" or once it runs into bugs.

If you were looking for something other then an openVPN based VPN. Take a look at Tailscale or https://github.com/firezone/firezone which run Wireguard... Tailscale is nice however you don't manage the control plane.
