MIT Press releasing an updated version of Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs (SICP), written in Javascript! For the people who swear by the original SICP written in Scheme what do you think of an upcoming version in JS?
I used mathematica to get all of the same (and better actually) results as derived/computed in FDG but with 1/10th the pain. before someone interjects that mathematica isn't free/is really expensive: you can get CLI mathematica for free. you can even drive it from python though it's not a great experience.
