Also use winrice to setup initial OS, that disables what's unnecessary (telemetry and stuff) and installs useful apps like HEVC extensions and Nanazip.

WIN11 Appx removal ideas for VDI environment
I have used https://github.com/LeDragoX/Win-Debloat-Tools to debloat windows 11 and created Golden images for non persistent pool.

Best custom windows for an older laptop? Is the performance even noticable?
On a PC i built recently out of scrap parts (1050 Ti + i5 750, no, i'm not missing a "0") I installed regular win 10 pro and used this debloating script. Works well enough for me
