WiiUDownloader VS cdecrypt

Just use https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader. This tool downloads games straight from the big N's servers, and decrypts them too. No need for keys, and games take less space.

Got my steam deck the other day and had that set up in a few days. Follow this for emulators https://youtu.be/Y5r2WZAImuY and use wiiudownloader to get roms https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader make sure to hit decrypt on the bottom!

dont use usb helper it doesnt work on steam deck, use it's alternative Wii U Downloader instead: https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader/releases/tag/v1.32 grab the Linux version and change properties to make it executable.

go to this site: https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader/releases/tag/v1.32 download the Linux image, once installed go into its folder, right-click on it, go to properties and select "is executable" save then just double click it should work then. Hope this helps

Among other tools I tried Cdecrypt v2.0b and CDecrypt v4.8.

np man, go to https://github.com/VitaSmith/cdecrypt/releases/latest and get the zip file, extract, run the app in the folder that has the folder that your encrypt games are in (idk how it works but it does),

You need to unpack them dude. Run the folder through this https://github.com/VitaSmith/cdecrypt and it will spit out a new folder with 3 folders, code, content, and meta, inside meta will be your meta.xml file.

Either re-download the games as WUA or convert what you have with CDecrypt

cdecrypt is the easiest decryption tool I know of, I don't think you even need to provide it a decryption key

Next, games should be deciphered from their native format. I found only one way to do this on Mac is cdecrypt. You need to fetch repository and then make cdecrypt. It will build cdecrypt binary on your machine. Next you just cdecrypt / /
