Has anyone had this similar problem and fixed it?
Just use https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader. This tool downloads games straight from the big N's servers, and decrypts them too. No need for keys, and games take less space.

Got my steam deck the other day and had that set up in a few days. Follow this for emulators https://youtu.be/Y5r2WZAImuY and use wiiudownloader to get roms https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader make sure to hit decrypt on the bottom!

How do i unpack BOTW? When i try to import them in the wii u usb helper, for some reason it only recognizes the DLC

Wii U USB helper with the Steam Deck.
dont use usb helper it doesnt work on steam deck, use it's alternative Wii U Downloader instead: https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader/releases/tag/v1.32 grab the Linux version and change properties to make it executable.

How do you install WiiUDownloader on the steam deck
go to this site: https://github.com/Xpl0itU/WiiUDownloader/releases/tag/v1.32 download the Linux image, once installed go into its folder, right-click on it, go to properties and select "is executable" save then just double click it should work then. Hope this helps
