[Whatsapp Chats] Is it possible to retrieve only selected messages from Whatsapp via Python?
WhatSoup - exports the entire chat of a WhatsApp conversation and saves it into a .txt, .csv or .HTML file. While that would be more than enough, I want to allow the user also to only export certain messages, if required, and not the whole chat from a certain date.

I made a WhatsApp scraper to help people export/backup their chat history
I have some general load times noted in the repo here but I'd guess that 20,000 messages will take somewhere around 3 hours.

Sunday Daily Thread: What's everyone working on this week?
Putting the finishing touches on my WhatsApp scraper I've so cleverly named WhatSoup 😏 It lets you backup your WhatsApp chat history without any of the limitations that are currently in place by WhatsApp (40k messages, redacted messages, only txt file exports).

I made a WhatsApp scraper to help people export/backup their chat history
With this approach, I was able to load 10k message in about 10 minutes, with a consistent memory usage of 20Mb. I'm assuming with a python api you'd get similar results. (I used this one in the past and recommend it, though I'm not sure if it implements this function https://github.com/open-wa/wa-automate-python)
