Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Tree planner w/ generator algorithm
So, I know that current "industry standard" is PoB Community, but for the longest time I was using this tool as an alternative/complimentary. Mostly, because it had a "tree generator" functionality, where I would mark nodes as "required" and "forbidden" and using what I assume is graph pathing related math, I got myself an "optimal" tree (collecting all required nodes and ignoring all forbidden, in minimum points). It was not without a fault, but it was INCREDIBLY useful tool to have around.

Updating Poeskilltree to 3.15 passive tree
Ever since 3.13 the poeskilltree application devs no longer seem to release an updated version of the program when a new tree is released and instead require you to manually update it. When 3.15 goes live you can just use the "Download live tree data" button to update to the latest tree. But for the next few days before the patch goes live the button will not update to 3.15 tree. If you're like me and find the passive tree generator that this application has to be a valuable tool to create your new builds then you will have to install the tree manually:

Path of Exile Second Screen : another leveling tool because I don't like the current options
Personally, I can never remember my passives. Keystone-only sounds like a recipe for regrets (pun intended). If bloat is the issue, just hide the tree(s) until the ingame hotkey for character passives is pressed. You can use this to generate high-res jpegs from PoB. If there are multiple leveling trees, just show one at a time based on character level in the client log.

Performance problems? Make sure you're not running PoB in background
I use PoESkillTree to export PoB trees as a full resolution jpg. If you get a crash while importing just delete all skill gems and items beforehand (without saving PoB). And before you ask, the PoB developers have said they are not planning to implement this.
