The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

To-ASCII 5.0 - A command line tool and library for making ASCII art from images and video!
To-ASCII is an old project of mine that converts images, video, and even live vieo from a webcam to ASCII art! I recently came back to it and rewrote it to add color support, improved modularity, an improved CLI, and Nim extensions!

Real Time Color ASCII Rendering in Python using NumPy Vectorization
Video explaining the algorithm: https://youtu.be/SzqKClkCi_0
I've always wanted to make an ASCII renderer, but the drawing functions from pillow for writing characters were always too slow to get close to real time. I set out to see if this could be vectorized and this is what I came up with. I also made a video about the algorithm: https://youtu.be/SzqKClkCi_0, and made a repo showcasing the algorithm working on a webcam: https://github.com/AlexEidt/ASCII-Vision.
