I use this program to do my GPU updates. I keep GeForce installed just for the recording features but this tool makes updating so much simpler, and much quicker than GeForce ever did

You could use https://github.com/ElPumpo/TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker, that'll pop up a little window once it finds a newer driver was released.

Also Tiny Nvidia Update Checker. Checks for updates and prompts you when there's a new version.

I don't install Nvidia's driver package because it's full of garbage I don't want, like geforce experience and telemetry. this handy tool lets me just install driver updates without any extra junk.

You can try the UniversalPauseButton. It's a piece of software designed to pause execution of a program, games specifically because the developer wanted to be able to pause games during unskippable cut scenes. In practice he does it by halting execution of the game process.

if you are on PC try Universal Pause Button. The software is kinda old, but still works. Or perhaps the upcoming Game Pauser.

Because sometimes I wanna get up and get a snack mid fight. Also being afk at a bonfire means your PC is wasting a ton of energy rendering a game that you're not even playing. Something like the Universal Pause Button is super nice to have imo.
