I know this has been asked before, but I want to see if there has been any progress. I found this, but I don't know how reliable it is. Has anyone tested it yet?

Spawning Creature Question
As far as a naming event goes, I am unaware how to force wish/debug that (which I wish I did), but you could grab Clever Girl which has a ton of good stuff added to companions alongside the ability to rename. Furthermore, Helado has a suite of functional helper tools that can do renaming and the color of the name as well. They are mods that need to go into the app data folder and not steam workshop folder, just fyi. You could wish/debug "swap" and become the character and do "renameme" and with color name included, choose colors and name without using Clever Girl, but that's crazy, Clever Girl should be in the game imo. Hope that helps.
