Remembering what flying was like fifty years ago
I’m just here to plug my buddy John’s homebuilt/exerimentatal/open-source HUD, primarily intended for VFR use as an ADS-B traffic display.

US or EU - which version is best for Canadians?
I am currently using a modified StratuxHUD version (https://github.com/JohnMarzulli/StratuxHud - a fork from US thread) on my Stratux with both 1090 and UAT SDRs, Antennas, GPYes 2.0 GPS receiver and AHRS module. Currently I see very few GA traffic unless I am close to the US border. There is a lot of FLARM and OGN traffic in my area that doesn't show up in my version of Stratux. It is important to note that I do not have any ADSB-Out device for ground (US) or sattelite (Canada) communication. Under CIFIB (https://cifib.ca/) initiative there are some nearby towers that broadcasts weather over the 978 and depending on my location I occasionally receive those data.

How can i set up an IP Camera without 3rd party closed source apps?
You are essentially trying to make a DVR out of your Raspberry Pi. A quick Google reveals a few open source options on Github such as https://github.com/EbenKouao/SmartCCTV-Camera or https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv

Receive Unicast stream on Raspi 4 automatically after reboot
https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv - RPISurv comes to mind, might work for you depending on how stream is accessed.

Good alternatives to Viewport???
Before the viewport, I was using a RPi4 with displaycameras. However due to the lack of updates, I moved to RPisurv (https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv).

Video feed display similar to rpisurv but on "regular" linux?
Looking for something similar to Rpisurv https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv that can run on a regular piece of hardware with a standard Linux bistro (Fedora - or other if required).

Camera feed viewer device or software?
Right now I'm using Blue Iris for my NVR which can take camera feeds and produce a single feed that cycles through the camera feeds, it works great. For a feed viewer I'm using a raspberry pi 3B with the 7" touchscreen and using rpisurv to display the feed that BI produces. Rpisurv works pretty well but it'll randomly lose its connection and I have to restart the service in order to get it working again. It's not that big of a deal but it's kind of a pain. I was wondering if anyone was aware of an alternative program or perhaps a more specialized device I could use for displaying video feeds?

unfi protect app on my TV?
If you have a spare raspberry pi you can install rpisurv https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv

Anyone use a raspberry pi or something to view blue iris?
Yeah you can pull a cycling video feed from Blue Iris to display on something like a raspberry pi. I use rpisurv but annoyingly it won't work on debian 11 because its version of VLC no longer included some feature that rpisurv needs (or thinks it needs I'm not sure).

I want to have my camera layout look like the linked image. I also want to be able to drag any "small" display to the larger area and have them swap. Is this possible, I haven't been able to figure it out
I run rpisurv off of a raspberry pi and it's been stable for months now.

Stream als RTSP or HTML Stream
I'm looking for a solution to stream a display via RTSP or HTTP(S).I need to visualize a pic of an SPS on a camera screen (RPISURV)
-
Made a script to display all my RTSP feeds in a VLC window
For anyone wanting to give it a try https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv
