Steam-Metadata-Editor
- Nice update, but my library is a mess

I made a partially open-source alternative to the Steam Client
Do you happen to know anything about the way they hash cd keys?
- Change the exe name of ANY steam game (very useful launch command)

Can i add 2 starting options to non-steam games like this?
You can with both Steam Metadata Editor and Steam Edit.

What the hell is this? I think Steam made me update for this.
Using a Metadata editor like this one you can delete the PDLauncher and go back to running like normal. I had to do this last week when they started adding the extra crap, breaking my 1.10 RO install.

How do I get Steam Metadata Editor working on the Steam Deck?
- Thanks I hate it
-
FF14 which version to buy?
On my PC, I've been able to dupe the PC version and have the appID point to it as if it were the Steam version, but that was with a program called SteamEdit, which currently doesn't play nice with the Steam Deck at this moment. So until SteamEdit or Steam Metadata Editor get better Steam Deck support, I'm currently locked out of those particular things.

Is it possible to tell Proton to run an executable as Linux binary?
I don't have any launch options set, the menus I'm talking about are these.

Changing Steam Game Metadata
Hi all, I've been wanting to find something similar to SteamEdit for the Deck, All I've been able to track down is this: https://github.com/tralph3/Steam-Metadata-Editor, but I can't seem to get the program to build on my deck. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm really just looking to change the names and sort names for my games so that games are in the order I want. Thanks in advance! :)

Why does steam web helpers have to run and take 900MB even when you have the front end closed??
I assumed it was some kind of alternative steam client, something similar to this (still very alpha) linux one

SteamCMD... Potential for building UI over it?
On the other hand, this application aims to work by using the same closed source libraries from steam, but with an open source UI https://github.com/20PercentRendered/opensteamclient
