Insulin Dosage Calculator
This app needs to be sideloaded. It cannot be obtained from the app store. You can see info on https://spike-app.com, but don’t attempt to install using the instructions there as it isn’t being maintained. Join the Facebook group, it has the recent manuals. If you’re interested anyway. It’s useless without FSL1 or a Nightscout server. One word of advice: when you join the FB group, do what the rules say and read the install instructions. As it is maintained by just the one person, it’s a very tight ship to ensure the group runs so efficiently that he’s able to continue doing it on his own in his spare time. Has no patience at all for laziness, but tons of patience when you at least try but fail for whatever reason.

Help getting a Dexcom G6 Transmitter.
If your Dexcom G6 transmitter is recent, it is not easily replaceable. Only the 81xxxx and 80xxxx series (I suspect the 8Uxxxx as well, which is oddly a G6 Firefly Medicare version - but I don't legal access to this version so I only have my suspicion) were easily replaceable with use of a dremel. However, you may be able to extend the transmitter's life through the Spike-App (iOS) or the xDrip+ (Android) application.

How to make my alarms louder?
I've heard of xdrip Swift and Spike. But i have no personal experience with either, so can't say if they're equivalent. There is Sugarmate, which i think will call a phone number, if a ringing phone would wake you. Not exactly what your asking, but a literally LOL setup was what u/rhett342 created, so a Billy Big Mouth Bass would speak his BG readings.

Ask HN: What Underrated Open Source Project Deserves More Recognition?
https://github.com/NightscoutFoundation/xDrip
xDrip+ is an unofficial and independent Android app which works as data hub and processor between many different devices.
It supports wireless connections to G4, G5, G6, G7, Medtrum A6, Libre via NFC and Bluetooth, 630G, 640G, 670G pumps, CareSens Air and Eversense CGM via companion apps. Bluetooth Glucose Meters such as the Contour Next One, AccuChek Guide, Verio Flex & Diamond Mini as well as devices like the Pendiq 2.0 Insulin Pen.
Heart-rate and step counter data is processed from Android Wear, Garmin, Fitbit and Pebble smart-watches and watch-faces for those that show glucose values and graphs.
On some Android Wear watches, it is possible for the G5 or G6 to talk directly to the watch so it can display values even when out of range of the phone.
The app contains sophisticated charting, customization and data entry features as well as a predictive simulation model.

Apps for T1D
xDrip, for sure, if you have an Android and a Dexcom. Diabetes-m is a pretty handy calculator, tracker and it has calorie/carb tracking. Tidepool is another that's a neat tool.

I just launched an iOS app to help calculate bolus doses - Bolus Guide
I'm using xdrip+ with cgm, which can help with it a lot, but theyre bolus recommendation isn't very user friendly. I think they are trying not to give recommendations because of the same fda issues. https://github.com/NightscoutFoundation/xDrip
