Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Last time I looked into SparkleShare it seemed like it had been abandoned. Looking at the Github it looks like it hasn't seen a release since Nov 2020. That's what turned me off. The Obsidian-git routine works for me now, but maybe I should experiment with it.

I've set up a network folder as an LFS folder using the solution from https://github.com/sinbad/lfs-folderstore.

Git Server Solutions for an Indie Dev Team?
There's actually quite alot of options so you need to figure out what your end goals are and who is using it. For me I actually use a neat custom backend for Git LFS called lfs-folderstore in combo with GitHub, which allows me to host LFS data on something like Dropbox, OneDrive and/or network shared folders.

You don’t have to include that in repo but on shared file server like google drive, and add script that will download the file. Check out that project https://github.com/sinbad/lfs-folderstore
