Soggfy is also good if you use Spotify on desktop, it dumps untouched OGGs during playback.

If you are on windows, try soggfy. It will dump the original track to an mp3/Ogg file from Spotify itself. It also works on Linux under wine.

I have been trying to install this do download songs from spotify in mp3 format and the guide requires me to open a file (install.ps1) through powershell but as soon as I try to run it, a blank blue screen appears and powershell closes. Someone please help me

I run Soggfy on the background once in a while for backup sake, Spotify is just too convenient to bother downloading music.

There's https://github.com/casualsnek/onthespot, no idea how long it'll work though. And yes, it actually downloads from Spotify not YT or others.
