Why can't MacOS just TELL ME which program is using the drive I'm trying to eject rather than just have me guess?
That said, after I learned about how to use lsof, I found this little free app called =Sloth (and its github page ), which is just a nice native Mac app serving as a GUI for lsof. It'll let you know exactly which process to quit or kill so your drive can eject happily.

The Icelandic Saga Database
Random fact; this website is created and maintained by Sveinbjörn Þórðarson who also made Platypus (https://github.com/sveinbjornt/Platypus) and Sloth (https://github.com/sveinbjornt/Sloth) — software that Mac nerds might be familiar with.
Sveinbjörn is a ball of energy that just radiates positives for human society.

Best cloud storage option for macOS in 2023
Why do you need the video cache in a cloud? You do realise that cloud=on the internet somewhere? Maybe you want a fine sync Utility like https://rsyncosx.netlify.app for one time sync or https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing-macos for keeping directories/drives/machines synchronised continuously.

Locked out!
I had, a while ago, Syncthing running on my Mac. Stopped using it. Now I want to use it again. Downloaded this and installed. When I open the web interface, I get a login + password request. I did not set them up this time, but I definetely did it the previous time, but I can't recall them. Any way to 1) recover password and login

Sync Mac Desktop
You can download syncthing-macos on GitHub. The first setup is a little bit unintuitive to me (non tech savvy), but after that, it saves a lot of heavy duties.
