Ah, so it's only a problem when using Arduino IDE. I have a hunch it might be an issue with the library dependency. Maybe the latest version of SDFat library is not compatible.

I'm working on porting the sdfat library for Arduino/AVR into Rust. It's still super early stage (right now you can just read the card properties and do an ls of the root directory) but I thought you might be interested to see it anyways! Here's the repo:
