Twitter api reaching rate limit. 5calls per 15 mins just to get user likes.

Complete noob, looking for some general pointers. (Python)
In this case you have a README that is better than most. It tells you how to use the project both as a library from within your own code and from command-line program that is included in the project.

Extension might be a keylogger?
I looked through it with Chrome extension source viewer and didn't find anything where it might phone home, though there's a lot there so I could easily have missed something. The same materials are available on GitHub.
