2 questions. Could my PC run 2 instances of Elden Ring? Other in post.
Not sure about the second question, but I think the ultrawide resolution for half screen (when unsupported by the game) uses SUWSF which is a tool injected like Reshade. The game handler takes care of the configuration and loading, might wanna check if there's anything preventing it hooking the process, like Discord overlay or MSI afterburner.

I recently got an Ultrawide. If Devs don't wanna work with 21:9 aspect ratio because of "Reasons" then take a page out of Hades and cover the Black Pillars on the sides with Game Art.
There were definitely a lot of things of fix, this mod was more involved than the typical ultrawide fix mod. I don't say this to brag, but it is the case that the vast majority of UW fixes are for 3D games where one only needs to remove intentional limitations on viewport / aspect ratio with a hex patch and it's done (example: Horizon Zero Dawn), hence why generic solutions such as SUWSF are very useful. For Hades there was a tremendous of additional custom work required so that UI elements are properly positioned after resizing the viewport.

Saints Row 2022 support 21x9 ?
You can also use SUWSF (download the x64 version and extract it so that dsound.dll is alongside the saints row exe and then rename dsound.dll to version.dll) so that you don't have to figure out the correct bytes for your specific resolution.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One does not support Ultrawide Resolutions
I made a new version of SUWSF that has the change to the thread locale which might fix the issue, but if not I also added logging to disk which should tell us where it is failing. The version is available here: https://github.com/PhantomGamers/SUWSF/releases/latest (download SUWSF.zip)
