On Android, use S0undTV for Twitch to watch without ads. Another way is to use Firefox + ublock origin + YouTube as u/NotWokeEnough or Revanced/SmartTube as u/itissafedownstairs mentioned here

The New AppleTV App Update Is Trash
I picked up a fire tv stick (they are on sale for $30, $35 for the 4k max version which I got) sideloaded S0undTv and it's better than the official twitch app in pretty much every way. 3rd party emotes, chatting, multi view, vod chat, it's got it all. Highly recommend.

Includes crowdsourced sponsor block as well. The day YouTube goes the Twitch route and starts embedding ads is the day I stop using it. Literally unwatchable at this point without adblocking.

For the record, YT ads are not 5 second skipable
The one i use Is smarttube https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTube apparently It doesn't work on roku, that's a shame! I'll replay again if i find something suitable
