Don't even need topaz, there's plenty of free upscale models check the openmodeldb, and you have reve which is based on Real-ESRGAN-ncnn-vulkan.

If you mean by free software, sure there are options. But you'll spend a lot of time to do that. You can try https://github.com/xinntao/Real-ESRGAN or similar tools

I’m actually on a Mac using the ncnn Vulkan binaries for Real ESRGAN. It’s not all that flexible but it’s pretty quick. There are other options but I have not looked into it.

I personally use real esrgan and I think it's great. it requires manual work tho but it's easy once you do it a few times

Install a Chromium-based browser (e.g. Brave) using Wine (I did it using Bottles), and you should be able to stream in 1080p.

Or you can use it as a Runner in Bottles and avoid all the hassle.

If it's a Windows game, maybe you can run it by Bottles.

For those using Bottles instead of Lutris, the installer for EA App there also Just Works™. Just last month I was playing Star Wars Squadrons there without any issue.

With Bottles they worked. I put the exe and dll in ~/.var/app/com.usebottles.bottles/data/bottles/bottles/[xxx]/drive_c/users/[xxx]/downloads/.

As long as you run them sandboxed, e.g. using Bottles via Flatpak, or maybe even Firejail, it's just very unlikely they will affect your system.
