RadeonSensor VS FakeSMC3_with_plugins

Martin Lo's opencore package it includes RadeonGadget.app or download it from Giithub https://github.com/aluveitie/RadeonSensor it is a simple temp sensor for your gpu that lives in the menu bar.

I'd like gpu monitoring for my my Vega56. on the page https://github.com/aluveitie/RadeonSensor, i can see RadeonSensor folder, but no kext inside, only some cpp files etc. also, the README says this kext isn't needed for Vega 10 and older. is Vega56 newer or older?

What other settings / kexts are you using? I'm using the two kexts from here https://github.com/aluveitie/RadeonSensor Also WhateverGreen kext + agdpmod=pikera boot arg

Any reason you run NVMeFix.kext and RestrictEvents.kext? Also u/STDVRockbell told me about this repo https://github.com/aluveitie/RadeonSensor

There is a new FakeSMC3 but I have not tried it yet as the old one works fine for my current BigSur install on old hardware. I may give it a whirl on my laptop which is slightly newer.

Hardware sensors: One thing to take into consideration are the hardware sensors, if you like to monitor stuff using apps like iStatica or iStat Menus. VirtualSMC seems to lack support for the sensors on this system. After looking for a solution I got to a fork of FakeSMC that has the perfect support for this hardware: FakeSMC3 from CloverHackyColor. I find it very stable and provides a lot more sensors to monitor temperatures.But I cannot guarantee its stability and performance since a lot of people on the community say VirtualSMC is superior. This just works for me, guys. Feel free to try what is best for you.
