Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts.

Help with setting up NZBHydra
Just use https://github.com/Prowlarr/Prowlarr. Thank me later.

Honest answer, is Spotify replaceable with Plex?
I'm going to mention this first though because it's very important (and will save you a ton of repetition) to set up Prowlarr first to manage your indexers: https://github.com/Prowlarr/Prowlarr.

Any easy way to start cross seeding on QBitTorrent and macOS?
I use prowlarr to manage my trackers and cross-seed to automatically cross seed downloaded torrents.

Prowlarr removes indexers periodically from the 'arrs.
cool. It's currently gathering data, it may take a few hours to reproduce the issue. It seems it has no specific trigger to it, and all the arrs are affected. Seems a clone of this https://github.com/Prowlarr/Prowlarr/issues/435

instant rss notification download method?
You could take a stab at figuring out trackarr if you can't get autodl working. RSS will always be slower than IRC announce channels, so if you want to get into the swarm right when it starts, you'll need to use a program that monitors the tracker's IRC announce channel.
-
Seedbox - automation improvements
Using autodl-curl is not the greatest idea. In reporting to the arr, it pretty much forces files to be downloaded no matter what if it matches the filter. I’d suggest checking out Trackarr, as it actually supports sending to the arr and can make the needed api calls before downloading the .torrent from the tracker. https://gitlab.com/cloudb0x/trackarr

autodl-irssi downloading every .torrent file?
Check out Trackarr instead. It was designed to mitigate the issues that autodl feeders to the arrs have with downloading every release by talking with the tracker api to grab necessary info.
-
IRC
Your best bet is trackarr which watches private tracker announce channels. I don't think it supports readarr yet, but the api is so similar it'd probably be fairly easy.
-
Sonarr taking long to pick up torrents
You might want to look into trackarr and setting up announce channels irc.
