Just wanted to post about "voldeloom", a tool for compiling Forge 1.3/1.4/1.5/1.6/1.7 mods i've been poking at for the last couple months
I know the last time I tried doing silly Beta 1.7 stuff the most annoying load-bearing part was LWJGL2; you might be able to bypass that with this which implements LWJGL2 using LWJGL3 (3.1 only, 3.2 changed some APIs it required). I guess you'd also have to reimplement FML but that's easier than rewriting the game to use LWJGL 3.

I ended up using the following insane setup to play this game "on" my considerably less powerful PC with keyboard and mouse: Console and PC are connected to the same monitor. I would start the game on the console, use the official streaming app to stream the game to PC, use this clunky tool to translate keyboard and mouse inputs to controller inputs and then switch my monitor back to the console so that I would get the full image quality without any streaming artifacts.

i am trying to get keyboard and mouse working on xbox without a xim adapter
why without streaming? i assume streaming is the only possible method but i could imagine it also having input lag.

You might possibly have some luck with this program that (supposedly) takes keyboard inputs on a Windows 10 computer, assigns them to controller inputs, and sends them to an Xbox One.
