Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I made a service to store arbitrary files as URLs that is similar. The hard part is files that are too large, I can handle files up to 5mb if you click on them all via local storage.

YouTubeDrive: Store Files as YouTube Videos
This is pretty tame compared to some actual, practical ones such as https://github.com/apachecn/CDNDrive
For people who didn't read Chinese: it encodes data into 16M blocks in PNG and then uploads (together with a index) to various Chinese social media sites that doesn't re-compress your images. I knew people have used it to store* TBs after TBs data on them already.
*Of course, it would be foolish to think your data is even remotely safe "storing" them this way. But it's a very good solution for sharing large files.
