Pretty sure OP's talking about the Python script Plex Auto Collections (which has been replaced with Plex Meta Manager).

As for premade lists, for collections that might not fit into the filters provided by Plex, you could look into something like Plex Auto Collections, which can create collections based on IMDb/TMDb/Trakt lists, among many other options.

The github page for PAC shows this is a known issue and the fix is to not be on the beta version but the latest stable release. As far as i know I am on the latest stable release and not beta version of plex (linuxserver/plex docker container)

You don't have to run the script on the server itself, just a machine that has access to the server. If you look at the config template, there's a plex section where you specify the server URL.

Wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to put a python 3 script on the Shield for my Plex Media server? The one I'm talking about specifically is Plex-Auto Collections https://github.com/mza921/Plex-Auto-Collections anyways, wondering if anyone knows of its possible or not. Unfortunately it's hard to get plugins and such on the Shield Plex servers.

There's a jellyfin-smartplaylist-plugin but it seems to be focused on movies rather than music.

As for creating playlists, there is a plugin for Jellyfin that does that. Not something I've ever tried though so I have no idea if it's good or not. Seems to do what your describing though.
