50Mpbs internet drops to 2Mbps with Opnsense + AdGuard Home + Unbound
I went with SpeedTest, which gives results consistent with speedtest.net, regardless of how I set up DNS resolution. So I'm attributing this post to speedtest-cli being absolute trash.

Alternatives to Speedtest tracker?
If you're still looking, I've found SpeedTest++ (uses Ookla servers) recently and it seems pretty nice. Adds jitter like you were referring to. But it's CLI only so you'd have to pipe the results into something like Grafana to get your graphs.
