steam input in lutris games?
The easiest way to do this is to use Boilr. It supports Lutris and will add your Lutris games to Steam as shortcut automatically (and also download game art from SteamGridDB if you give it an API number). Boilr is also on Flathub so installing it and using it is super super easy.

Proper Way to Add Alan Wake 2 as Steam Shortcut?
Hi, there's this old thread, and here the link to the tool itself. Hope it works.

The worst part of the Steam Deck? Launchers.
For most of them, use Boilr. Sometimes it doesn’t work, or the launcher isn’t supported, then you gotta look up “How to add X launcher games to steam”.

Last night I finally worked up the courage to do the shell swap!
Or Boilr, to automate it.

Best way for non-Steam Games/Launchers
You can use BoilR (https://github.com/PhilipK/BoilR) for that, it will scan all of the usual install locations for your games and let you add them to Steam as individual entries.

Yet another Steam Deck settings guide (30fps)
I unfortunately haven't used steam rom manager before. I'll take a look into it if I get some spare time today and update this comment with how to do it. I use an app called BoilR to add my non-steam games and download artwork for them. You can read about it on it's GitHub page. It may be a bit more technical but I like it better since it adds the emulators rather than the games. This so I don't have my steam library filled with duplicates of my games between yuzu stable and yuzu-ea, if that makes sense.

Looking for an alternative game library manager similar to GOG Galaxy
I like https://github.com/tkashkin/GameHub. However, it has some caveats.
-
Anyone using a launcher?
Right now there's Steam, Heroic (Epic, Gog), Itch, Gamejolt, Humble, etc. Nothing really integrates all of them except GameHub and it's inactive and doesn't have EGS support.
-
Is the Gamehub official site legitimate?
The Github directs users to https://tkashkin.tk , which redirects to a very sketchy site/sites.
-
Any Third-Party steam clients?
Some that I have found: - GameHub (Neat project, but does not support the usage of proton or wine for steam games - PlayNite (Only supports Windows at the moment, Linux support will come some time in the future) - steam-tui (A little too bare-bones for my taste)
-
What frontend do you use ?
Attract mode and GameHub also support adding other games besides emulated ones.

App ideas for GNOME (GTK4) Vala?
Idk if this is up your alley, but gamehub is a program I use daily and from what github reports, it's 95% vala.
-
New user here; in my opinion, Linux gaming is already nearly identical to gaming on Windows
Bonus: Since you mentioned GOG and some ROMs, check out Gamehub, it's a game launcher (like Lutris) that combines gog, itch, humble, steam and emulators. Looks really nice and its pretty easy to use. Specifically for GOG it has a way to automatically download and install the games on your account.

There is the GameHub issue related to this: https://github.com/tkashkin/GameHub/issues/630 documentation linked there is made by us - the Heroic team.
