PPPC-Utility VS shell-intune-samples

You will likely further down the road when you have the basics setup need this tool https://github.com/jamf/PPPC-Utility This is a very useful tool to create configs that allows you to deploy app permissions so the end user does not have to allow things. For example you could create a profile that gives Microsoft Teams camera and disk access for sharing files so it does not nag the user to allow it.

we're currently using Jamf Connect and Intune to enroll our Mac´s. For the privacy settings, we're using the PPPC-Utility from Jamf. Now the question: After applying these PPPC-Profiles the silders (In Privacy Settings) are still turned off, but it seems to work. Is this behavior normal?

Deploy it via shell scripts instead, use the following for install template https://github.com/microsoft/shell-intune-samples, this is what I do for package where extra config is need after/before the deployment

Application deployment is Intune's weakest feature currently. If you have apps you want to push out as required then you can see if the native app deployment feature works for that particular app, or install apps via a script. I would recommend the second option, and Microsoft themselves actually have a good selection of sample scripts for doing so

Yep...been a problem for years! Best way is to script it. Put the pkg in a zip file and put it on Amazon S3 or Azure, etc. Then script it to install. Microsoft has some good examples on their github site. https://github.com/microsoft/shell-intune-samples/tree/master/macOS

Just learn to write simple bash scripts. Intune deploys them quickly and they work better then trying to package up some application. MS offer sample scripts which a monkey could rework for other applicatons. https://github.com/microsoft/shell-intune-samples
