OutFox VS MusicMemories

My personal preferences are StepP1 (particularly the 1.0.3 community mod) and Project OutFox with Infinitesimal. Both have the widest range of support with simfiles that have been around for a long time as they support/continue the common "StepF2" simfile standard.

Install Project OutFox: https://projectoutfox.com/ with install instructions here https://outfox.wiki/user-guide/setup/install-linux/. After that, connect your pad and map the inputs and you'll be good to go!

Another thing we'd like, is we see a lot of feedback on social media/servers which we aren't able to respond to easily, so we are going to publicly request you use our GitHub link https://github.com/TeamRizu/OutFox to add suggestions, feedback, niggles/bothers, bugs, or anything you think that would benefit the game moving forward.

This is the first time we ever hear about something like this. Can you send us your game logs with a recording from a session where this issue happens? If you can use GitHub or Discord to submit, that would be even better.

Also looking at the official issue repository, custom scoring is slated to be fixed in Alpha 5, which is due to come out in August.

As always, be sure to report any bugs you encounter on either our issue tracker or Discord. Be sure to provide us with as much information as you can whenever you report an issue. We won't be able to fix bugs that aren't reported to us.

Themes or systems which check for "StepMania" as the ProductFamily variable may need to be updated to account for these changes. We have reached out to the developers of the Simply Love theme to inform them of our changes, and they have let us know that the theme will be updated in due course. In the meantime, the GitHub page for 0.4.14 has patches for the theme's version detection mechanism, and to address a change in how we calculate when a song ends.
