RollerCoaster Tycoon at 25: 'It's mind-blowing how it inspired me'
One of my favorite PC games of all time.
There's an enduring player base and online community for it, as well as a really solid open source reimplementation:

I'm crazy sick and all I want to do is play RCT2 and Steam will simply not work for me!! Can I play it anywhere that isn't steam?
RCT2 is the reason I made a Steam account haha, def check out https://openrct2.org/
- [Eleven Warriors] C.J. Stroud: “I’ve been through hell and back”. C.J. Stroud’s roller- coaster upbringing taught him how to “Scratch and crawl through life”.

Should there be an open-source FTL clone? Can one even exist?

[Steam] Summer Sale 2023 (Day 13)
If you buy the RCT2 pack (https://store.steampowered.com/app/285330/RollerCoaster_Tycoon_2_Triple_Thrill_Pack/) then you can run OpenRCT Project (https://openrct2.org/) on top of it Highly recommend.
-
Should i go with RCT1 or 2? Whats the difference?
Nowadays just buy both on Steam or GOG and use OpenRCT2 to combine both with modern features.

Intel is seeking feedback for x86S, a 64-bit-only version of x86 for future processors.
All these classic Chris Sawyer games have open source reimplementations by now, like OpenRCT2 or OpenTTD. More features, more polish, native 64-bit.

Yes, you can have good games on your mobile - and there is some lists
Sonic 1 & 2: Here Sonic CD: Here
- Porting Sonic 1 & Sonic 2 (2013)
- Sonic Origins Plus – Announce Trailer
-
Is origins worth getting? Everyone I’ve asked says it’s jank with missing music and bugs, but I want it since it seems like the best way to play the classics.
Definitely not the best way to play the classics. [https://gamebanana.com/tuts/13703](Sonic 1, 2) and CD mobile ports (links to how to play them on PC) are the best way to play, then Angel Island Revisited for 3.
- Is there a way I can play Sonic CD 2011 on PC without buying Sonic Origins/Steam codes on 3rd party sites?
-
Any fixes towards this error? Was trying to run the Sonic CD 2011 decompilation. After figuring out how to run 1/2, I figured it'd be the same for CD.
I compiled the code for you. It's straight from https://github.com/Rubberduckycooly/Sonic-1-2-2013-Decompilation and https://github.com/Rubberduckycooly/Sonic-CD-11-Decompilation. You can download it here. These directly replace the .exe files you've been using up until now.
-
Anyone know how to get CD on PC?
Use the mobile RSDK file with the decompilation (although you won't have FMVs)
-
since sega delisted the genesis games, is there any way to play the Christian whitehead version of sonic cd?
You can still get the mobile version, IIRC, and you can use the mobile Data.rsdk file to play the decompilation.
