Using Multiple TOTP Apps with Paypal
My problem is that Aegis (open source) does not have a Linux app so I have to use an alternative. I found OTPClient, and it seems to fit the bill for a privacy concerns, but I can't figure out how to add it in PayPal as a second device to authenticate with.

Idgaf... I'm leaving my coins on an exchange where it is insured... Too many scams out there that even crypto vets are falling for.
You can export your secret keys from Aegis, then import them into OTPClient if you want to use it on Desktop. That's the benefit of Aegis being FOSS. Your are not locked in to only using their products.

Authenticator that doesn't require mobile device or sms?
You didn't share your OS, but on Linux you could use Authenticator or OTPClient. If you want something cross-platform that will sync to multiple devices like Authy, you could give TokenVault in Standard Notes a try.

My phone is a major distraction. Also my phone is mandatory to have near because I need 2FA to get passwords.
Expanding on the recommendations here, if you have some old laptop laying around (or can buy one on the cheap off e.g. Craigslist or something), you could install some Linux distro on it, install an OTP generator app (e.g. OTPClient, and then disconnect it from the network entirely. This would probably be considerably more secure than even using a phone, since the only way for someone to steal your TOTP keys would be to have physical access to the machine (and even that can be mitigated, seeing as how any reasonably-modern Linux distro will support full-disk encryption).

End of Life for Twilio Authy Desktop App
I use a browser extension from https://authenticator.cc/
While I do not know whether its UX is similar, it does have a sync feature (but not cross-browser), an export feature, can backup its data to Google Drive, can store everything encrypted (but not by default), is recommended by at least one government website (SSS Employer Portal in the Philippines), and is there for a long time. Oh, and it also remembers which site each secret comes from, and hides others.

Feature Request: TOTP for MFA
Currently, I'm using the Authenticator.cc browser extension on the same device for TOTP. However, I imagine security will eventually tighten and running authentication app/protocols on the same device that is logging in wont be an option.

two factor using authenticator.cc browser extension
I've got a situation where we have a couple of staff that can't install MS authenticator; no smartphone. In some ways I'm jealous of them. Anyway, wife's company is of significant size and she passed off their docs on the issue and they use authenticator.cc browser extension for these situations. I tested it myself, and it works. It's just the raw OTP and not a number entry challenge.

Authy has been hacked, here is how to protect yourself
For Windows, you really aren't going to find anything. The best I could find was a browser extension called Authenticator (no relation) but I cannot vouch for it.
