Guides and tips for making a game engine in C#
I made a generic game framework. On top of that a game engine with physics, networking, UI etc. That engine is specifically made for online fighting / dueling games. Using that engine I am makeing a steam game.

Can C# be used effectively without .net / .net core?
C# without .NET is like C without glibc. Possible but you'll need another core library. For C# that would be something like Mono or ZeroSharp.
