Scheduled notifications don't appear until opening the app
Notifications for some apps don't appear until I open the app. These are notifications that are scheduled to appear at particular times and should not be dependent on any network connection. I've noticed this problem for Google Tasks and Notification Cron.

You can self-host a notification service using https://gotify.net/ for example, but you may need to ask the user to disable battery usage restrictions if you don't want the OS to kill the background process.
