How do I install an alternative lightdm greeter?
I am trying to install web greeter, because I want to install a theme that uses it, but the way everything is configured in solus is weird. The settings in the lightdm conf file are completely different, and there are random files all over the place in /usr/share/lightdm... So how do I install the greeter and the theme?

After moving to Debian I tried changing my lightdm greeter so as to install this theme Aether. I installed lightdm-webkit2-greeter from opensuse repo. Changed the lightdm configuration to default to make lightdmwebkit2 greeter default. But still it is not using new greeter. lightdm service is up and running. What am I missing?

Hey guys, so I use lightdm with aether as the greeter, although it remembers my session when I log out but that doesn't persist on reboot, according to an issue there it seems it lists sessions as specified in lightdm configuration
